Our wordmark is how the brand first says hello. It's a bold, modern wordmark, which sophisticated, yet friendly. The ligature between the “H” and “i” alludes to the romantic journey.

Sometimes the H from Hinge must stand alone. This creates the Hinge lettermark which maintains the spirit of the wordmark. The lettermark is intended to be used where space and size are limited. The lettermark is always used in lieu of the wordmark and never in conjunction.

Tiempos was designed by Kris Sowersby at Klim Type. Tiempos Text takes the functionality of Plantin and Times, gently updating it for contemporary use. It’s robust and clear, perfect for economic and legible typesetting. Tiempos Headline is designed for larger headline sizes, striking a balance between practicality and elegance.

The editorial serif is paired with a utilitarian yet friendly sans, Modern Era, released by Family Type. Distinctive for its large x-height, low stroke contrast, and contrast of wider circular characters with narrower character, it serves as a functional typeface with an idiosyncratic, friendly tone.

The Hinge Core Palette consists of Hinge White and Black. This palette is the foundation of our color identity and reinforces our intention to build a more thoughtful and sophisticated dating app.

Kohlrabi is used to add an expressive touch. It’s a color rooted in nature—the setting of many great dates.
