Hinge Names Jackie Jantos as CEO, Guiding the Company’s Next Phase

Today, Hinge announces that Jackie Jantos will become the company’s new Chief Executive Officer effective immediately, following her tenure as President and Chief Marketing Officer. In this elevated role, she will continue to position the organization for its next phase of growth and innovation in creating meaningful, in-person connections.

As part of this transition, Founder Justin McLeod will depart Hinge to launch a new AI-driven venture, Overtone. He will remain an advisor to Hinge through March to support the transition.

Additionally, Tamika Young will take on an expanded role as Chief Marketing and Communications Officer, after previously serving as the Senior Vice President of Global Communications. She will guide how Hinge’s mission and values of authenticity, courage, and empathy show up in the world — reaching intentional daters seeking great dates and deeper connections.

The Next Chapter Ahead

Relationships are at the core of Hinge, and Jackie’s ability to inspire teams and effectively connect with different audiences has shaped the app experience, fostered a strong internal culture and driven tangible business results. As CEO, she will ensure that the company continues leading the dating category by staying grounded in cultural and human insights and consistently meeting the needs of users.

“It’s an incredible honor to step into this role and continue leading Hinge into its next chapter—supporting the well-being of daters and society at large,” said Jackie Jantos (she/her). “Hinge is designed to help people across all backgrounds forge meaningful connections, and we’re at a powerful moment of momentum. With empathy and insights at our core, we’ll keep supporting the millions of people — on and off the app — who are seeking deeper relationships.”

A Track Record of Impact

Jackie joined Hinge in 2021 as Chief Marketing Officer and was elevated to President in March 2025. In these roles, she leveraged her experience in consumer technology and building culturally resonant brands to guide the company’s day-to-day strategy and fuel Hinge’s continued growth.

During her tenure, Jackie’s ability to connect creativity, culture and technology has shaped Hinge’s evolving brand. With “Designed to be Deleted” campaigns like “No Ordinary Love” and “It’s Funny We Met on Hinge,” her approach has introduced Hinge to important audiences and helped unlock growth among Gen Z.

“If you want to build products that truly change people’s lives, you have to start with culture and a deep understanding of the people you serve. Jackie lives that philosophy,” said Justin McLeod (he/him). “She leads with empathy, listens with intention, and builds with a clarity that keeps our mission at the center. I’ve seen how powerfully she can translate insight into impact, and I’m confident she’ll carry Hinge forward with the same compassion and courage that have guided us from the beginning.”

Jackie grew up in Japan and has spent her career developing scaled global businesses and brands, including Spotify through its successful IPO in 2018 and while at Coca-Cola. She has also led Hinge’s expansion into new international markets — across continental Europe and, most recently, Latin America with launches in Mexico and Brazil. Her intentional approach to innovation has also informed how Hinge taps into insights and community experts to develop new product features, including Match Note and Prompt Feedback.

Additionally, Jackie has embedded social impact into the company’s broader business strategy, helping launch One More Hour – Hinge’s initiative designed to foster in-person connection through supporting social groups – and demonstrating how brands can grow while doing good for society.
